Overview

The UK is the largest destination for young Australians and New Zealanders to undertake their OE, Gap year or working holiday. It is almost a right of passage to do your year or two in the UK. It's no longer the case though, that any Kiwi or Aussie can just turn up and get a job. Finding work in the UK is becoming increasingly difficult since the opening up of the EU and the subsequent influx of labour from Eastern Europe. OWH, however has now signed an agreement with a high standard group of large country hotels and pubs to offer the chance of a life time for our customers.

OWH has teamed up with a limited number of high end pubs and restaurants to provide you the perfect UK working holiday experience. We have limited the number of pubs we work with to ensure you have the experience of a lifetime and a great support and friendship network. All of our Pub jobs in the UK come with live-in or staff accommodation and most places have 6-8 live in staff (mainly Aussies, Kiwis and Canadians - an instant network!)

Pulling pints on our Pub Work UK program is perfect for those looking to set themselves up in the UK. Our pubs are all out of London City where conditions can be cramped and inconsistent. We have teamed up with a great group who know the value of looking after their staff. Its a win win situation: they want you to have the best possible working holiday experience and in return you will stay with them longer.

Being outer suburbs, regional towns or real country pubs you will get to know the locals, (the balance of the staff are locals!) We have in the past worked with City pubs however we know the value of quality accommodation, friendly local environments, fun places to work, and because our pubs are all top end, great tips to increase your weekly pay!

These roles are the perfect introduction to life away from home and you can explore London and the wider UK as well as being well located to check out Europe during your days off. Unlike finding work yourself, OWH will be able to organise you a bed and job upon arrival. Travelling beforehand? We can work around your itinerary. If you want to travel before you start work, then just let us know when you are back in the UK and we will make sure your job is set up and ready for you. Also, if you want to travel with a friend, we can help get you placed in either the same pub, or one close by, just book early!

No experience is necessary - we provide your training. Just be ready to meet people, work for a minimum of 3 months for 40-48 hours per week (you get paid by the hour) and be open to having one massive adventure in sunny UK!
